  i started a thread on this guy's comments about building kingdom halls here.. the guy also said this (again, not a word for word quote, but the gist of his comments):.

  "the primary hope of salvation is the resurrection.

  jehovah does not promise anyone that he will survive armageddon.

  Well the guy did say he hoped to live through Armageddon, "I hope to live through Armageddon" so I don't think he was totally knocking down that idea.

  But what he may be trying to do is buck up the baby boomers who are entering their "golden" years soon to start dying like flies, oops sorry, facing the fact that the grave, not living through Armageddon, is what awaits. The gb are losing hope their generation will see the end.
  

  The super emphasis on retiring older men and training younger men supports this also.

  The gb is dysfunctional. I think the second tier brothers know it.

  Why isnt the overlapping generation( interpretation), consistently applied to these scriptures.?

  why does the wt interpret matt.24:34 "truly i say to you this generation will by no means pass away until all these things occur.

  " as having overlapping generations ?

  and not applying the same reasoning to any other scripture/s referring to a generation or this generation .?

  The overlapping generation is a joke, an embarrassment, seen but not admitted by most JWs.

  The '75 teaching is almost unknown to JWs under 40.

  Prologos, all the guys that pushed '75 are dead.

  Can't find that shit in the Watchtower today. It's finished.

  The anointed in the congregations today are on their own. The Governing Body has little regard for them.Their interest is in promoting themselves as God's representatives. Nothing more.

  Who cares about this stuff. What I mean is 1975 is long gone it's like thinking about whether Bush W should have invaded Iraq. It's a done deal, move on.

  Stay alive to 75 is irrelevant. They're all dead.
